Teufelheim
← Back to Wiki⚠️ IMPORTANT:
When you enter the entrance cave YOU LEAVE PENTS, uncollected pent experience and bonuses are LOST!
Wait for a SOLVE to collect those before descending the ladder to the entrance cave.
Introduction
In a dark corner of Lvl 38 Pents is a hole leading down to the entrance cave of city of Teufelheim where the Pent demons live work and play when they are not popping out of Pentagrams for our amusement.
The city is divided into 3 levels... the poor Slum Quarter home of the Earth demons (and of the first of the PK Arena's), The Working Class Quarter home of the Fire Demons, and the Noble Quarter home of the Ice Demons (And the Rat Killing Quest).
The city contains a Teleporter and 3 stairways leading to the PK Area. Demon Gamblers can be found throughout the city, and there are rat nests scattered throughout (25 Fire, 30 Ice, 35 Earth, 40 Hell).
Demon Clothing & Disguises
The doors to each section are watched by a doorkeeper and only demons of the appropriate class or above are allowed to pass the entrance door. In order to deceive those watchers, you need a disguise, a set of demon clothing which will make you appear as the appropriate demon (your sprite changes), allow you entrance, and prevent the residents attacking you on sight.
The Demon clothing, which drops in ALL areas of Pents, comprises six pieces, Head, Back, Chest, Arms, Legs, Feet. They are not quest items and may be traded, they cannot however be enhanced with orbs metals or shrines. Each piece is available in mage and warrior varieties. The basic set has NO stats, (and thus cannot be lost in the TeufelHeim PK Arena) however pieces may be won from the Demon Gamblers that do have stats. A complete set of the same type (Earth, Ice or Fire) must be worn to complete the disguise and your transformation.
Bronze Silver and Gold chips needed to gamble are also drops in Pents and are quest items. The chips will stack in inventory.

PK Area
Accessed from the Slums (Earth Demon area) is a PK Area for level 38 and below. You must be wearing an Earth Demon Skin set to enter.
There are however some risks involved (Gear Loss) and some limitations:
- To enter the PK area, a player has to wear a full demon suit. He may also wear normal single stat items. Quest items cannot be used.
- If a player dies there is a chance of him losing ONE of his items. (about 8% per stat bonus item worn) Then there is a 50% chance of the item being destroyed and a 50% chance of killer getting the item. You cannot lose normal (ie. no stat bonus) items.
- Only demon suit items with modifiers (the only way to get multi-stat equipment into the Teufelheim PK area) and the single stat normal items can be lost.
- All professions will work as usual. The arenas are not clan areas, so clan warrior (CW) will be useless.
- The entrance door to the arena will teleport you to one of ten random spots inside the area. You have to walk back to the door to leave. Recall scrolls will be disabled. There is no limit on who can kill who.
- You won't be able to use any kind of potion. You will lose all magical effects (Bless / Potions) when you enter the area.
- You will only be able to bless yourself (if you have bless) and not other players while in the area (ie. Mages & Seyans have to use their own bless, Warriors will have NO Bless).
Rat Killing Quests
In the Worker Quarter and the Noble Quarter (Fire / Ice Demon Areas) you will be tasked to kill rats spawning from rats nests in a warren of caverns.
As you kill the rats the level of spawned replacements increases. Kill score can be accumulated over several visits.
Destroying the nest reduces it's spawning rats to the lowest level for that area. The nest can only be destroyed when there are no rats alive to guard it.
Over time if a nest is not being used and no rats killed the level of spawning rats will reduce.
Rat points may be exchanged for military Experience, Regular Experience or Gold. Turning in 10K+ rat points from 1 run gets you a bonus of a piece of gear. (below that a potion) The higher the amount of rat points turned in at one time the better the bonus item.
Entrance doors have a Max Level as shown below:
